Drinking fresh water also helps in removing waste and redundant calories which is great for losing weight and detoxifying the body.

Drinking water frequently is a very important to maintaining a healthy diet and losing weight naturally.

Our bodies are said to be about 70 percent water. Everybody needs water to regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients to travel to all the organs. Water also transports oxygen to cells. Drinking enough plain water helps in removing waste and redundant calories which is good for loosing weight and detoxifying the body.

To drink the right amount of water isn't difficult. A good estimate is to take your body weight in pounds and divide that number in half. That gives you the number of ounces of water per day that you need to drink. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80 ounces of water per day. If you exercise you should drink another eight ounce glass of water for every 20 minutes you are active. If you drink alcohol, you should drink at least an equal amount of water.

Keeping a bottle of water handy at all times is a great idea, especially when you are busy working or exercising. If you get bored with plain water, then why not boil it with lemongrass or ginger to add a beautiful, refreshing flavour and to help ease your digestion.
